Man! It's been awhile since I've written in my blog. Lots of changes and shifts happening and I will write about them later, I promise!
I wanted to announce a NEW yoga class that I'm teaching on Tuesday evenings.
Yoga Basics
Tuesday evenings
8:00pm-9:00pm
at the Yoga Garden of San Francisco
Yoga basics is open to anyone interested in practicing Yoga in a safe, beginner-friendly environment. Fundamentals of yoga practice are taught for all styles of yoga. These include standing poses, seated poses, and reclining poses, movements such as sun salutations, and beginning breathing techniques. Each class explores how to practice yoga in a way to best realize the benefits of health and well-being.
I'm so happy to be teaching, as well as providing massage, at the Yoga Garden. It truly is a wonderful community of teachers, students and practitioners of yoga. I hope to see you there!
Also, don't forget about the Massage Special for 2nd time clients! Receive $20 off when you book your 2nd massage with me!
Welcome to my blog. We are always in a state of constant movement in our experience. There are bumps along the path and they need to be shared with others because we are not alone. We think and feel in similar ways. We are amazing, emotional, creative individuals who want and need. That's what this blog is for.

New Area: Lodi, CA
My husband and I decided to take a little getaway together this past weekend. His coworker told him about the town of Lodi, which is 30 miles south of Sacramento, in the Central Valley area of California. It's really in the middle of nowhere, but there are MANY wineries. So we went to two, Harmony and Harney (funny they both start with "H"). I wish I took more pictures of this area, but it was SUPER HOT there and we really didn't stay outside them for very long. But the people/owners were so pleasant and welcoming we want to go back and explore more wineries...and revisit the same ones. Both were located on E. Harney Road in Lodi.
Also, we had booked a hotel in West Sacramento, which was a nice deal through hotels.com. Plus, it had a pool. Perfect for the 100 degree heat! We plunged in there after the wineries, and then relaxed until dinner time, which ended up being in Old "town" Sacramento. Since it was their annual "Gold Rush" festivities, they had dusted the streets and did a variety of Old West reenactments.
We ate at Joe's Crab Shack, a total, touristy festive experience, but very well worth it! We split the Dungeoness Crab Legs, along with a sampler to start. Mmmmmm good! Every 45 minutes, the whole staff have a dance party to one song. Overall, it was fun and little overstimulating at times.
I love the last minute getaways! We plan to do another one to an area we've never been to in California. It's so fun to explore and have no plan.

2010 Declarations
As I read from a friend's newsletter, the new year is like a fresh canvas. You get to start from the beginning, reflect on before and look ahead. Last night, I went to my support group, WealthSTeam. It's been our 2nd meeting where a bunch of like-minded individuals get together and create what they want out of their businesses, career or life's goals. It's also been a great support system. People need guidance in some form. For me, it's community and being able to connect with others.
One of the things we shared was our declarations/goals for 2010. Mine are:
1. I will complete the massage therapy program by the end of the year
2. I leverage my debt in a healthy way
3. I will teach 1 yoga workshop and 1 movement workshop this year
I know there's more brewing inside, but I thought I'd start with the ones that are really alive for me right now. What I learned about making declarations is the importance of repeating them to yourself everyday, whether it's before you go to bed or when you wake up, or both. The theme of the meeting last night was creation/manifestation. What's really great about this group is that we all know or have heard of the Law of Attraction and/or Conscious Creation. We all have something to bring to the table that will benefit each other. It's so inspiring and exciting!
So write a couple or more down for yourself and speak them before bed or when you wake up. Be patient and you will receive!

The New Year
The new year has me dazzled! I love the fact that I get to start fresh. I don't really plan anything on the eve of the new year, but last year my life coach had me acknowledge and write down 10 things I am grateful and/or appreciate about the past year. I made this into a regular routine, of course, but it really gave me a sense of peace with myself. I had my husband participate as well. I hope to do more workshops, whether it be yoga, movement or with my support group. I already have an opportunity coming up for February through 24 hr Fitness where I teach yoga, so it's already happening! I hope to pay off debt which is already in progress, but I hope to see a CHUNK come off of that. Also, completion with my massage program so I can begin to really transition my careers. This has me feeling both excited and nervous, but I feel it's time to take the plunge. the next step.
Let's be excited about the new year! joyful, joyous, happy, dazzled, peaceful, surprised, reflective, appreciated, appreciation, supportive....continue to add on whatever feeling comes into your body. Feel it and then express it. Be present to what's happening inside of you so you can be with others.
Happy New Year!
